Pipe and Drum Workshop

Every year
during Mardi Gras season, Red River Pipes & Drums hosts a piping
workshop. The instructors teach on
beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, teaching everything from
Marches to Piobaireachds.
Last years Workshop, held during Mardi Gras 2008, the first evening
after classes ended, our instructors gave a concert, free of charge.
What a treat it was to hear such wonderful performances.
The second evening,
those of us who wished to join in, rode on our Mardi Gras float, threw
beads and had a wonderful time getting to know the instructors and
other students from the workshop.
For the 2008 Workshop we were unable to get a drum instructor, but we would like to get one for the 2009 year's workshop.
If you would like to join us next year, you can register for classes starting in January 2009. |
